QuikZip is local-first and designed to avoid app-level data collection.

QuikZip is a native macOS archive browser, editor, and extractor. It does not run a backend for collecting, analyzing, or sharing user data.

Data Collection

QuikZip does not collect personal data, usage data, analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, or crash analytics.

We do not sell data, share data with data brokers, or use data for advertising or tracking.

Archive and File Content

QuikZip opens and processes archive files locally on your Mac.

QuikZip does not upload archive contents, extracted files, directory names, metadata, archive comments, or file previews to any QuikZip server.

If you save, copy, export, or share files from a workflow, those actions happen on your device or through macOS-native systems you control.

Passwords and Local Storage

Passwords can be kept for the current session or stored in macOS Keychain when you choose that option.

Keychain entries remain on your device and are managed by macOS. QuikZip does not upload passwords to external servers.

QuikZip may keep local temporary files and UI state needed to keep archive previews, extraction flows, and conflict handling working.

Third Parties

QuikZip does not include third-party analytics, ad tracking, or telemetry SDKs.

QuikZip may connect to local or user-configured external services only when those actions are part of archive-related workflows you explicitly trigger.
